Digitisation and Archiving Services:
The Digital Employability courses are an ideal precursor to the employment of candidates in the field of scanning, digitally archiving and shredding services. This is a business solution which is in great demand and there is interest from local borough offices, accountants, solicitors and local estate agents to use this service. A service user with the correct training will be easily placed.
Travel buddy:
Travel Buddy is a peer mentoring travel scheme for vulnerable adults who may also have a disability.
Trained travel buddies are able to support service users to build the skills and confidence needed to travel independently using public transport or on foot.
Befriending:
We provide opportunities for social interaction, especially when service users are feeling isolated through illness, disability and mental illness or old age or social disadvantage. A one-to-one befriender can be there to listen and talk to the service users. This is an ideal service which may naturally occur during social networking interactions during our daily activity timetable.
Cooking Assistant:
Having completed the food safety awareness course, the service user will be an ideal fit for a job as a cooking assistant. Our own food club run every day in the training kitchen will be a great setting for employment and this can lead to employment in the local community.
Bakery:
Service users will be introduced to baking as part of their pre vocational therapeutic training. The Bakery project will encourage and employ service users to make sweet and savoury snacks (for example small pies, sausage rolls, small cakes and so forth.)
Recruitment Agency:
Our ambition is to start a recruitment agency. Our own employment specialist will procure employment for permitted work by the service users and this will be in the mainstream of the local community. Service users can then use their well-earned new skills in real employment.
